Edward A. Berman, born New York, New York, November 20, 1951; admitted to bar, 1976, New Jersey and United States District Court, District of New Jersey; 1981, United States Supreme Court; 1983, New York. Education: Tulane University of Louisiana (B.A., cum laude, 1973); Rutgers University School of Law (J.D., 1976). Phi Beta Kappa; Tulane Scholar. Member: Morris County, New Jersey, New York and American Bar Associations; Commercial Law League of America. CONCENTRATION: Corporate Law; Commercial Litigation; Appeals. Edward Berman is the managing member of Berman, Sauter, Record & Jardim, PC., and has served in that capacity for many years. In addition to a deep involvement with firm management, Mr. Berman practices in the areas of commercial law, corporate law and civil appeals. He has represented many substantial corporate clients in connection with their general legal needs and has assisted them in connection with stock and asset sales and purchases as well as the financing involved in such transactions. Additionally, Mr. Berman has represented many clients in connection with appellate matters, resulting in a number of published Opinions, sometimes resulting in a significant change of law in New Jersey. Mr. Berman is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in New Jersey and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
